What do we need help with? * Setting up racks, tables, signage * organize items on sales floor * checking consignors items at check in / check out *Scanning and bagging items at checkout * helping customers locate items, bring larger items to hold table *Take down racks, tables, signage * presale tickets check in Please use the link below to sign up to be a Volunteer Worker Bee. The shifts are on a first come first serve basis, when you sign up right away you get the best shifts that fits YOUR schedule! You can register as a volunteer worker bee ONLY if you are already registered as a registered cosigner. The shifts get added under your seller account. JOIN US Volunteer Worker Bee Contract Basic information. Printable contract available when you sign up * checking receipts at door * ALL Volunteer worker bees must sign up for at least one sort shift in order to have any increase in your cosigner percentage *Barter shifts will ONLY count towards early shopping hours. They will NOT count towards increase in percentages of sales for cosigners. *No shopping or setting items aside to purchase is allowed until it is your designated shopping time. *If you are working an end of event sort shift, you will be allowed to to take your own items at the end of your shift that have been sorted but your shift time needs to be spent sorting your items, we've designated first. * wear comfortable clothing and footwear, an apron will be provided to help protect your clothing. * we will have light snacks and drinks available for volunteers during their shift. Barter Program Flyer Distribution/Signage – Here’s an opportunity for those who’d like to help, but whose schedule doesn’t work with our sale schedule! Approximately two weeks before our sale event, Team Members will distribute flyers and put up signage all across Southern Maine. We have several shifts available for distribution. We have opportunities in several towns & cities. Each shift will be approximately four hours, but doesn’t necessarily need to be consecutive. If you’re interested in Flyer Distribution/Signage please email us at mainelykids@myyahoo.com and we’ll work with you to get everything you need to get started! BENEFITS of being a Volunteer worker bee : *WB 3 Hour shift : Bee's who sign up of 1 shift will be able to still shop before the public at 2pm *WB 6 hour shift s * Bee's who sign up for 2 shifts or more get the very first dibs to shop even before cosigners ! Bee's shop on Set up day Friday 1pm and will receive half of their cosigner registration fee with their end of sale payout. *WB 12 hour shifts Bee's who sign up for more than 4 shifts will shop at NOON, receive 75% of their sales for regular cosigners and 45% for concierge cosigners. Be able to shop with a friend on set up night, and receive their full cosigner registration fee with their end of sale payout !! NEW : Will also be able to bring 2 other friends at consignor shopping time ! Cosigners will shop between 3pm on Friday followed by presale ticket holders *anyone signing up for shifts and not showing up will not be allowed to sign up for volunteer worker bee shifts in the future. We are counting on you covering your shift. SHIFTS Must be fulfilled in order to receive any benefits. Including but not limited to higher precentages, refund of registration fee and being allowed to sign up for other sales as a volunteer worker bee. We understand emergencies happen but please let us prior to your shift if your unable to come. Only Volunteers who fulfill their shifts will receive the perks. ALL workers must sign in and out in order for us to accurately give the correct incentives to each person.

    Preparing & Tagging items ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALL Items must be completely sales floor ready at check in / drop off Freshly Launder- clothing and textiles 100% functioning and include all parts Working batteries in all electronic items Non - clothing clean and free of debris Sellers must check for recalls at www.cpsc.gov Supplies Needed : *Hangers *Large safety pins or fine tagging gun *Clear Zip lock bags *Scissors *Batteries *Zip ties *Clear packing tape / painters tape *Computer with internet access & printer *White cardstock paper ( white only) We don’t have any products to show here right now. Sneakers and cleats can go in washing machine. Magic erasers and Clorox wipes work well. Zip Tie together ( NO shoes in Bags) Discard shoe boxes unless new in box, should still be zip tied together. Place tag on shoes, NOT THE BOX. Tie shoe laces, velcro and close straps MAKE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK YOU HAVE 2 OF THE SAME SIZE SHOES ! Place all clothing on hangers so that the hook forms a (?) question mark when looking at it. If you don't have pants hangers, secure pant to hanger with safety pins. Max number of hangers bundled together is 3. Teen clothing/ ladies/ Men / Maternity all must be on clip pant hangers. ( not pinned) if you need pant hangers please reach out we maybe able to help. Each cosigner gets a max of 500 items per cosigner number Limit 25 items per gender 9 months and under ONLY 300 clothing items per consignor Preparing non Clothing items Must be clean. Warm soapy water, Clorox wipes, Magic Erasers Freshly launder all textiles. Tag, fold/ roll tie with a ribbon . Blankets, Crib sheets, Boppy covers, nursing pillows. Secure multi piece items together using zip ties, zip lock bags, or clear packing tape. Battery - operated items must have working batteries ALL electronic corded devices like Baby monitors etc WILL BE TESTED ! ​ All Items must be free of rips, tears, or stains. Minor defects will be tagged with stickers marked "play clothing". Our intention is to inspect all clothing. This is no small task, but your worth it! ITEMS WITH MISSING TAGS WILL NOT BE SOLD. No handwritten tags / or price changes will be allowed to be sold Entering Inventory & Creating Item tags Use our web- based software to enter items and create price tags REGISTER Online to SELL ! to begin entering inventory Print tags on white cardstock paper. 8.5x 11 - Should be able to fit 8 per page Choose the smallest number size to print on tag ( 6-9 months- select 6 mos. for example. Attach Tags to clothes on the RIGHT SIDE underarm seam or the garments tag. You may use small safety pins or a fine tagging gun ( if you have a lot of pieces we find this it easier) NO PINS OR TAGGING GUNS THROUGH FABRIC OTHER THAN NOTED !!! It will make a hole in clothes, making the item unsellable. Multi piece items - RUBBER BAND THEM TOGETHER. DO NOT USE safety pins or the tagging guns to clip multiple pieces together through clothing. It should all be hung to hangers.
